Fourteen years, thousands of doors, one simple principle: show up on time, do the job properly, and charge what we said we would. That's why most of our work comes from word of mouth across Wodonga and Albury.
Darren Hollis started Locksmith Wodonga in 2011 out of his garage on Beechworth Road with one van, a set of tools, and thirteen years of experience working for bigger locksmith chains in Melbourne. He'd had enough of quotas, upselling, and tradies who were only in it for the clock-in.
The plan was simple: treat every customer like a neighbour, quote fairly, stand by the work, and see if a one-van operation could survive in a regional town. Fourteen years later, we're three vans, five full-time locksmiths, and have answered close to ten thousand calls from homes and businesses across the Twin Cities.
We've never run a radio ad. We've never bought a billboard. Almost every new customer still comes to us because a neighbour, a friend, or a local property manager told them to - and that's the benchmark we keep ourselves to, every day.
We won't pretend we invented them - we just take them seriously. This is how we train our team and how we measure ourselves every job.
If a rekey fixes it, we don't sell you new locks. If the lock's been installed properly, we won't pretend it needs replacing. We'd rather take the smaller job and have you call us back in five years than milk a one-time fee.
Drilling a lock is fast and easy - and almost always unnecessary. Our locksmiths are trained in non-destructive entry first, destructive second. We leave your door looking like we were never there.
If we give you an ETA, we hit it or we text when we're close. Nothing gets customers angrier than a locksmith who said "thirty minutes" and showed up two hours later. We don't do that.
